Media: Watercolour and Colour/led Pencils

Internal. Vs. External is a self portrait that discusses the mask or false persona that we become when we interact with others, with majority of society. The External version of me is black & white as it is the fake version of me, one that is full of anxiety and self consciousness. While the coloured me is the real authentic me who is always internally their. This represents when you look in a mirror or reflection and see the two sides of you. Someone staring back that looks like you but isn’t the same. While the circle shape is inspired by my love for photography and how a camera lens is able to capture another perspective. At the bottom of the drawing is a functioning Spotify playlist scanning code that directs you to a playlist full of songs that relate to my life. Overall this drawing looks like an album cover, displaying how music is such an important part of peoples personality and who they truly are.
