Masking This is a series of photographs that display the neurodivergent experience. With a collaborative work thanks to @ccgracie. I was able to create a fun bold makeup look that highlights the curiosity and creative minds that neurodivergent people have. To show a new perspective, one that is out there. With this bright look we utilised headphones which symbolise overstimulation and ways to cope with the noise of society. In contrast to bright still images, I've used distorted black and white photographs to show movement within the lives of neurodivergent people. Experiencing this world differently doesn't mean you are any less. Yet society forces you wear a mask to fit into societal norms, to conform, afraid of judgement. You should be Abe to feel safe to express your true authentic self. So take off that black and white mask and reveal the bright colours that hide beneath the surface.
